Cordell Group Limited was formed in March 2000 by the merger of two renowned engineering companies. Although a relatively young company, our origins lie somewhat earlier in the formation of our previous companies Darlington Engineering (formed 1983) and Cordforth Group (formed 1976).
Cordforth Group was essentially a design and manufacturing company with an emphasis on electrical, control and instrumentation disciplines, and Darlington Engineering a design and construction company, primarily with a project management and mechanical focus.
The merger facilitated the integration of over 40 years of experience in project management, engineering design, fabrication and installation. This ensured that we had a unique service of ‘multi-discipline’ engineering to offer clients.
Since our formation, a carefully planned mix of strategic and organic growth has enabled Cordell to expand its portfolio to include: - research and development engineering, pilot plants, civil and building works, machining of bespoke equipment, chimneys and flarestacks, building management systems and marine and offshore services. This growth has also assisted development into new locations across the UK and overseas.
