Our ability to combine design, fabrication and construction services in civil and building, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and control system engineering brings about the execution of Cordell turnkey projects.
Unlike many of our rivals in the delivery of turnkey projects we can provide this multi-disciplined capability from in-house resources. All services, with the exception of some specialist activities such as painting and thermal insulation, are performed by directly employed Cordell staff.
Our core design and project management services are operated from our head office. These activities are supplemented by comprehensive health and safety, quality assurance, planning, cost control and commercial management support services. A range of dedicated workshops are equipped to produce structural steelwork, vessels and tankage, pipework, machined items and electrical / control panels. Our ongoing commitment to our strong site construction resource includes maximum focus on health and safety, with all management and trade labour undergoing formal health and safety training.
In the execution of turnkey projects and support of client activities, Cordell regularly perform the major roles within the CDM regulations including those of Principal Contractor, Designer and Planning Co-ordinator.
This truly in-house design and build, turnkey project capability is highly valued by many of Cordell’s regular clients, due to significant savings in project cost and programme delivery, alongside greater control of SHE and QA/QC performance.
